Getting around NYC 
New York City has a fantastic public transportation system. You can ride all over Manhattan on both subways and buses, from Battery Park to the Cloisters at Fort Tyron Park, inexpensively using a metro card.

If you are staying more than 3 consecutive days consider purchasing a 7–day unlimited Ride MetroCard for additional savings.

You can purchase MetroCards throughout the city at news stand, subway stations, most hotels, and NYC’s Official Visitor Information Center (on 7th and 53rd street) and the Times Square Visitors Center.

Children enjoy the excitement of attending a live Broadway show; however it's important to find a performance that is appropriate for your family. There are currently a variety of Family Friendly Broadway shows like The Lion King, Spider-Man, Wicked, Newies the Musical, and Cinderella . Keep in mind that minimum age requirements vary by show.
