What are Service Gratuities?
It is customary for our guests to extend gratuities to the shipboard staff in appreciation for their hard work and exceptional service. 100% of your gratuities are distributed to the crew who you interact with, such as your stateroom attendants, dining, bar and culinary services staff, as well as others who work behind the scenes to enhance your overall cruise experience. Applying this charge automatically streamlines the recognition process and ensures our crew will share in your generosity. To help you plan, we have provided the recommended guidelines below:
Standard Staterooms: $13.99 USD per person, per day
Suite Staterooms: $15.99 USD per person, per day
You may pay this daily gratuity in two different ways:
Pre-Pay
Gratuities can be added at the time of booking or anytime up to the sail date. Guests who booked directly with Carnival may add their pre-paid gratuities on Carnival.com. If a guest booked with a travel agent, they may contact their travel professional to add pre-paid gratuities to their booking. Prepaid gratuities are reflected in the 'Miscellaneous Charge' field on the confirmation and in the guest's E-Documents.
Sail & Sign
If a guest has not pre-paid the gratuities, the recommended per person amount will be posted to their Sail & Sign account on the second to last day of the cruise. Should a guest not be satisfied with the service they receive, they can contact the Guest Services desk while on board. This will allow us to address their concerns in a timely and appropriate fashion. At the discretion of the guest, gratuities may be adjusted after they have been posted on the guest's account, while on board. Gratuities, as posted on a guest's Sail & Sign account, will be considered final after a guest disembarks and no changes will be made after the cruise.
Additional Information
Gratuities are assessed on all guests, with the exception of children under the age of 2.
Gratuities apply regardless of the dining options selected, such as eating at the casual dining restaurant or open seating dining.
For beverage purchases, an automatic 18% gratuity will be added to the bill.
An automatic 18% gratuity will be added to the cover charge of the Chef’s Table.
A gratuity may be extended to room service staff as service is rendered.
For cruises that begin in Barbados, all gratuities are pre-paid and automatically added during the booking process.
Thank you for your generous recognition of our on board team. Our crew works hard to provide you with a great vacation and takes pride in being part of the best team in the cruise industry.

Can I bring bottled water on board?
Carnival’s Liquor and Beverage Policy states that guests are prohibited from bringing water, sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages on board that are packaged in bottles.

Water will be delivered to your stateroom on embarkation day. Bottled water may also be purchased on board by contacting Room Service.
Once on board, your purchase is non-refundable; you may take home any unopened bottles.

How much luggage can I bring?
To help you plan, we suggest you limit your luggage to a maximum of one bag per person, if traveling on cruises of 3-5 days duration, and no more than two bags per person, for cruises of 6 days or longer. In addition, you must personally carry-on any boarding documentation (passports, Visas, I.D), valuables, medications and items which require special handling.
Guests who are scheduled to arrive at the terminal before 1:30 PM, usually check their bags with a porter so they can be free to enjoy lunch on Lido Deck before access to their stateroom is granted.
Checked baggage service is only available until 2 hours before the ship's published sailing time (printed in the cruise documents). Guests arriving after this time will be responsible for taking their bags on board.
Each checked suit case and carry-on suit case should not weigh more than 50 pounds, and when lying flat, bags must not exceed 16 inches high by 24 inches wide (the length of the bag is not a factor). For security screening purposes, all luggage should be unlocked. Oversized luggage and locked luggage may cause delivery delays.
Personalized luggage tags are included in the guest’s Electronic Documents (available once online check-in is completed). It is not necessary to print the tags in color.
Carnival luggage tags must be affixed to your baggage prior to arriving at the terminal. Additional tags can be obtained at curbside from the porter. Porters will re-tag any luggage tag with a TBA cabin assignment.
Curbside porters are customarily provided a $1 tip per bag. They are not employees of Carnival and should a guest experiences any problems, they must report it to porter management on site.
Since the screening and movement of large coolers through embarkation is an impediment to the boarding and security screening process, large coolers are not permitted as carry-on or checked luggage. Small, personal-sized coolers, no larger than 12 inches x 12 inches x 12 inches, for the purpose of housing small quantities of non-alcoholic beverages and/or medications are permitted as carry-on luggage.
Airline Luggage Restrictions
If traveling by air, guests are encouraged to contact the airlines directly to determine luggage restrictions and fees.

Carnival does a really good job on their ships with decorating and entertaining you for the holiday season. I have only personally sailed with them for Mardi Gras, Halloween, and Christmas, but I have seen posts where others have sailed with them during other holidays. People really like to get into door decorating especially when there is a holiday or celebration they are having.
HOLIDAYS ABOARD
You don’t need a reason to celebrate… but if you want one, look no further than your calendar. Every Carnival cruise is a celebration — especially on holidays — but we truly go all-out for a few special dates throughout the year. This makes the ship a great place to call home for a while, gathering with your friends and family.
For one, there’s Halloween, where costumes at sea are just the beginning. When Thanksgiving comes along, it calls for a feast… with absolutely no cooking on your part.
Christmas festivities are a big deal, combining solemn traditions with jolly fun, while Grinchmas opens the book on wacky and whimsical with the green one himself, plus the rest of the Dr. Seuss crew. Finally, we close out the year — and begin the next one — with
New Year’s Eve traditions like a balloon drop, a huge party… and the party isn’t complete without an after-party.
Ready to celebrate? Plan your cruise for the right dates and you’re in for even more festive fun.

FACILITIES AND SERVICES FOR GUESTS WITH DISABILITIES
At Carnival, we're dedicated to offering a fun and memorable cruise experience to all our guests. Our team of trained crew members provides attentive service and our ships have a variety of accessible features to ensure our guests with disabilities have a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. We are working on additional modifications to our ships and services to further enhance the guest experience. Look for updates to this page periodically for more details.
General Access
We've made substantial modifications to our ships, to help make them easier to navigate. Our ships feature accessible elevators at each elevator bank, equipped with both tactile controls within reach of guests who use wheelchairs and audible signals for guests who are blind or have limited vision.
Accessible routes are available throughout most areas of the ship and signs are posted to assist you in locating these pathways. Accessible tables are available in the dining venues of each ship. In addition to the main dining rooms, each ship offers a variety of accessible dining options within Lido Deck casual dining areas and other restaurant venues. 24-hour room service is also available for all our guests. Pool lifts are only available on Carnival Horizon, Carnival Panorama, Carnival Radiance, Carnival Sunrise, Carnival Vista, and Mardi Gras.
For each ship, diagrams of accessible routes, accessible staterooms, and accessible public restrooms are available below. Use our accessible PDF deck plans to locate accessible rooms, while the interactive deck plans allow you to easily get more details about a particular room, including dimensions, when you search by room number.
Other needs that need to be met, are also on the website. The other selections are: Mobility Limitations; Deaf/Hard of Hearing; Blind/Low Vision; Children with Disabilities; Medical Care, Diabetes , Dialysis & Oxygen; Dietry Needs; Service Dogs and Web Accessibility

CRUISE CANCELLATION AND ITINERARY CHANGE POLICY
CRUISE CANCELLATION
If a cruise is cancelled, guests will have the option to receive either a cash refund or a future cruise credit.
ITINERARY CHANGE PRIOR TO DEPARTURE:
If Carnival has adequate notice prior to sailing that a vessel will deviate from the published itinerary it will promptly – upon making the itinerary change -- notify guests of the change through their travel agents or directly, in the case of a direct guest booking.
If the itinerary change is for reasons within Carnival’s exclusive control, guests will have the opportunity to cancel their booking without penalty prior to sailing and within 24 hours of the guest notification, and in such an instance, guests will have the option to receive either a cash refund or a future cruise credit. In the event a guest does not cancel the cruise on a timely basis, no refund of any kind will be available.
Due to the nature of a cruise vacation, itinerary changes sometimes become necessary for safety, weather or other reasons beyond the control of Carnival. If the itinerary change is for reasons beyond Carnival’s exclusive control, including but not limited to safety, security, weather, strikes, tides, hostilities, civil unrest, port closings, emergency debarkations of guests or crew, late air, sea, car or motor coach departures or arrivals, mechanical breakdowns or problems not known to Carnival, itinerary changes consistent with U.S. State Department travel warnings / advisories or other applicable US or foreign governmental advisories, guests will not be provided any compensation. Guests electing to cancel will be subject to the standard cancellation terms.
ITINERARY CHANGE AFTER DEPARTURE:
In the event an itinerary change becomes necessary while the ship is at sea or when notice prior to sailing is not feasible, Carnival and/or the Master will attempt to substitute an alternative port. Carnival and/or the Master may, in their discretion and for any purpose, deviate in any direction or for any purpose from the direct or usual course, and omit or change any or all ports of calls, arrival or departure times, with or without notice, for any reason whatsoever, all such deviations being considered as forming part of and included in the proposed voyage. Carnival shall have no liability for any refund or other damages in such circumstances.
REFUND OF TAXES, FEES AND PORT EXPENSES:
If a port is cancelled from the scheduled itinerary, a refund of the taxes, fees and port expenses for the cancelled port will be provided via a shipboard credit.
THIRD PARTY COSTS RESULTING FROM CRUISE CANCELLATIONS OR ITINERARY CHANGES:
Carnival shall not be liable to guests for any charges, fees or expenses paid or owed to third parties by guests (such as air travel booked by a guest directly with an airline) in connection with a cancelled cruise or an itinerary change for any reason.
VACATION GUARANTEE:
Nothing herein shall affect the guest's ability to exercise the Vacation Guarantee on sailings where it applies.

Vacation days are precious. If you decide spending them on a Carnival cruise isn’t for you, you don’t have to. Our Guest Services team will make all the arrangements to get you off the ship as quickly as we can, and fly you to either your home airport if you flew in, or back to your point of embarkation if you drove to the ship.
HERE'S WHAT WE DO.
If you decide within twenty-four (24) hours of the embarkation of your cruise that it’s not for you, simply notify Carnival’s onboard Guest Services desk. We’ll take it from there. And if you decide later that you want to give Carnival another try, we’ll even give a $100 per stateroom onboard credit to any guest in your party who exercised the guarantee and, within a year, books another Carnival cruise.
HERE'S SOME INFORMATION FOR YOU TO KNOW.
